"Dante (At the gates of Hell)", a work that depicts the figure of Dante Alighieri in front of the gates of hell. Behind his red cloaked figure we can see a dark, black stream of light escaping from the barely opened gates, from where we observes rays emanating from a black sun trying to gather the observers attention into the natural center of the work.

This is the fifth song in the "Divine Comedy", where Dante Alighieri ventures through the circles of hell, a lonely soul separates itself form the others and presents herself to the author, telling him her sad life story.

Another work of the series inspired by the "Divine Comedy". This is a depiction of paradise, since Dante and Virgil discuss it at a certain point but in my opinion they still don't have a specific vision of what "Paradise" is, their journey through hell has only started. The image is distorted, not completely white and with scratches that almost tore through the canvas it self.
